He Brought Us Peace

Good morning! God in His grace and mercy has blessed us with another day to read about His love for us. Join me as we continue our reading in Ephesians chapter two.

Bible Verse – Ephesians 2:14 – 17 NLT

“14 For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. 15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. 16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.

17 He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near. 18 Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.”

Reflection

Where there was division and tension Christ reconciled all believers back to God. No one was greater or lesser, we were and are all one in Christ Jesus.

Sisters and brothers, what Christ has done for us is truly an act of love.

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for the love that you extended to us. Thank you for tearing down the barriers that divided believers.

Lord, continue to minister to new and seasoned believers that we are one in Christ Jesus. Lord, where division within the church exists – remove it. Lord, continue to build up the church and strengthen believers to stand in faith.

Lord, we pray for those going to court and we ask for your favor in those situations. Be with those who will be traveling this week and month. Touch the bodies of those who are sick – stabilize their vitals, remove fevers and fears, ease the pain of those who are in pain. Touch the body of the woman with Lupus and heal her . Lord, touch those struggling with chronic conditions and heal them.

Lord, be with us and our families as we go about our day. Lord, shield us from distractions and help us to keep our eyes on you.
