Good morning! Today, we will spend our time in prayer, and we will pick up in Ephesians chapter one tomorrow.
Father God, thank you for a new day. Thank you for breath in our lungs, and awareness that you blessed us with this day. Lord, cover us with your peace as we seek you and give you praise.
Lord, we pray for our families today. Lord, we pray for spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren and extended family members. Lord, all of those titles make up the family unit. Lord, we ask that you strengthen our families with your word and your presence. We pray for those who don’t know you, those who have turned from you, and those who are distant from you. Lord, we pray for you to soften their hearts and return them back to a relationship with you. We pray that those who don’t know, to get to know you and accept you as Lord and Savior of their lives. Lord, we pray for those who do know you to continue to be a light in their and in dark times. Help them to be living examples of your love and compassion. Lord, continue to give them wisdom and discernment as they watch you transform their family and look to you for guidance in those relationships. Lord, we pray for the family unit to be restored, healed, and transformed into the family that you desire for it to be in good and bad times. Lord, remove the cycles of manipulation, harm, addiction, abuse, lies, and other things that are tearing families apart. Lord, heal families that are brokenhearted, unstable, and vulnerable. Lord, help families that are struggling with finances and food insecurity. Lord, help them with their funds, help them with employment, help them to get the food they need. Continue to bless them with the food supplies they need and reliable transportation.
Lord, we pray for those who are sick, those with chronic conditions, and those who need medical attention. Lord, first give them the medical attention that they need. Let the doctors show and give compassion, and the necessary care for them to feel better. Lord, give them good and affordable health care, and prescriptions. Give them renewed strength and relief from pain. Lord, heal those who are in the hospital and those who are recovering from illnesses and/or injuries.
Lord, be with each child leaving for school today. Lord, cover them and keep them safe from harm and from those who want to harm them. Lord, help them as they study their lessons and interact with others. Lord, help them to comprehend their lessons and succeed in their assignments. Lord, be with each teacher and administrator on campus. Lord, you know their family situations and needs. Lord, help those teachers with work life balance and help them to treat each child well and without bias.
Lord, you have been so faithful and good to us. We praise and thank you for all that you have done and will continue to do. Lord, you know each person’s prayer. Lord, help them to draw close to you as they trust and wait for you to answer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.❤️
