Good morning! Today we will conclude our reading in James chapter five.

Bible Verse – James 5:19-20 NLT

“¹⁹ My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, ²⁰ you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.”

Reflection

Sisters and brothers, spiritual maturity involves every area of our lives. James wanted to make that clear in each chapter. He emphasized the need for believers to stand in confident faith, to be careful with our words (truth with love and humility), serve others with compassion and show concern, and repent without reservation submitting every area of our lives to God.

James closes with a reminder to help restore those who have fallen away from the church and/or their faith, to help those who have turned away to find their way back. Sisters and brothers, let others see Christ in you.

This week allow the Lord, to use you in every aspect of your life.

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for your mercy and grace. We thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ so that we could be saved. We thank you for the freedom to choose and even with all the world options in front of us, Lord we still choose you. Thank you for saving, restoring and transforming us. Lord, help us to be a blessing to others. Help us to be a better reflection of you as you continue to mature us spiritually.

Lord, bless our homes and our families. Cover us, our spouses, children, parents, siblings, other family members, and our friends. Lord, we pray for our neighbors and neighborhood. Lord, we pray for our nation and we pray for healing. Lord, create a wave of compassion and reconciliation across our nation and the world.

Lord, be with those who are seeking employment. Lord, open doors and opportunities. Lord, move resumes to the review and interview phases. Lord, go before the hiring committee and answer prayers of those in need of stable and gainful employment. Lord, give them a healthy work environment.

Lord, we continue to ask for healing and recovery for those recovering from surgery. Lord, touch their leg, their heart, their blood count, remove infections, improve circulation, and reduce pain. Lord, we pray for those with chronic illnesses to be cured. Lord, we also pray for those who are grieving and ask that you heal them right where they are. In Jesus name, amen.
