Good morning! Today we will conclude our reading in 2 Corinthians 1 Apostle Paul’s letter to the Corinthian church. Apostle Paul’s letter was lengthy but perfect for the Corinthians and also for us today.

Bible Verse – 2 Corinthians 13:11-14 NLT

11 Dear brothers and sisters,[c] I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

12 Greet each other with a sacred kiss. 13 All of God’s people here send you their greetings.

14 [d]May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

Reflection

Overall, it is believed that the Corinthians responded positively to Paul’s letter. The book of Romans in 15:23-29 notes that his work in the region was complete, and the believers in Macedonia had given an offering for Paul to take back to Jerusalem. Paul’s final appeal to the church was unity amongst them and could only be accomplished as they depend on God.

Given what we have read in 2 Corinthians and Apostle Paul’s final words that we read, “Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace.” How will you seek to:

  • Be joyful
  • Grow to maturity
  • Encourage each other
  • Live in harmony and peace

As you ponder, keep praying on it and ask God to help you in all those areas

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for your loving kindness. We thank you for never leaving us. We thank you for your forgiveness, mercy, and grace. We are so grateful for your unconditional love that never fails us.

Lord, as week begin this week we ask that you be with us. Lord, guide us and direct our steps. Lord, build us up in your truth and help us to stand firm fully in Your armor – from the helmet down to the sandals. Lord, help us to be fully engaged in your truth about who we are and cancel out the lies and noise of the enemy.

Lord, hear each prayer request from those in need of prayer, and answer. In Jesus name, amen.
