Good morning! Yesterday, we read verses on how much Jesus cares for a little sparrow and how much more he loves and cares for us. Today we will continue our reading in Matthew chapter 10. Enjoy!
BIBLE VERSES – Matthew 10:32-33 NLT
“32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.”
REFLECTION
Over the past few weeks, we read Matthew 10 verses 10-33, we learned how Jesus comforted the twelve disciples before he sent them out. He reminded them of the power they had, who to minister to first, that they should not worry because God cares for them, and knows every detail down to the number of hairs on their heads. Now Jesus, instructs them – as they go out to acknowledge the Father before others and do not disown Him, or they will be disowned.
This time of the year, the world would have us deny Jesus and celebrate Easter, and force us to water down the Resurrection of Jesus and replace it with an Easter Bunny, and chase eggs. There have been numerous moves and petitions to put Christ Jesus and God last, but today these verses remind us to keep Him first.
Brothers and sisters don’t forget Jesus’ love for us. His love for us took Him to the cross so that our sins would be forgiven and so that we can be reconciled to God.
- Will you acknowledge him to others? _______________
- Will you tell your children and/or others about Jesus? ___________
Lord, we trust you and desire to acknowledge you and your word to others.
PRAYER
Father God, thank you for loving us enough to send your son Jesus to save us. Lord, you are the only one who knows every detail about us. Lord, we honor you and recognize who you are and the things you have done for us. Lord, help us to be bold and acknowledge you before others. Lord, help us to remember all the things you have done for us. Lord, be with us as we go about our day. Lord, breathe your Holy Spirit into us so that we may be filled with you and live according to your word. Lord, be we those who are grieving today and comfort them. Lord, be with families and keep them safe. Lord, fill the hearts of those who are alone. Heal the sick and make them whole.
Lord, today we pray for the daughter whose heart is broken and we ask that you heal her heart. Lord, we know that you alone can create beauty from ashes. Lord, heal and restore her broken heart. Lord, we pray for the woman who is struggling with her health. Lord, you know her genetic condition and also her battle with cancer. Lord, touch her body and heal her from cancer and make that genetic condition go into remission. Lord, we pray for the man on hospice and we ask that you ease his pain. Lord, comfort his family as they continue to sit with him as he transitions to be home with you. Lord, touch the man who is in chronic pain. Lord, touch his back and legs. Lord, remove the pain from his body. Help the doctor’s to properly diagnose his condition and treat him accordingly. Lord, we pray for the woman suffering from calf pain and is concerned about blood clots. Lord, we ask that you remove her pain and allow the blood in her legs to properly flow. Lord, we pray for the grandmother whose heart is declining from cancer and we ask that you ease her pain. Lord, we ask that she know you and declares you as Lord and Savior of her life. Lord, we pray for the family members who are leaving today across international waters to say their final goodbyes. Lord, we pray for safe travels and lodging arrangements, and that they make it on time to see her. Lord, give them traveling mercy, keep them healthy, and may their time be blessed.
Lord, continue healing us all from mental, emotional, medical, physical, spiritual, and financial struggles/challenges/worries. Lord, calm our minds, remove pain, restore faith, and provide finances/employment to those in need. Lord, we trust you with these prayer requests – In Jesus name we pray, amen.
