We Made it Beloved! It’s New Year’s Eve, Happy Friday! It’s a blessing to be alive on today💕 ! Let’s check in to see what God has to say on this last day of 2021!
This week for our devotion, God has a specific assignment for us and has given us his “framework” to accomplish what he has asked us to do! Check out the steps summarized below:
GOD ASSIGNMENT: Review/Reflect 2021 and Plan for 2022
- Set Your MINDSET- Know that God Chose You in Him and He Loves You
- Get In POSITION to hear- God confides in those who fear him.
- PRUNE Your 2021 Branches – Inspect your fruit and Live connected to Jesus
- PLAN Your 2022 Year- Write the vision & the plan God reveals.
- Get EMPOWERED to Execute – Ask for the help of the Holy Spirit
On this fifth day of the week, we focus on getting EMPOWERED to Execute for 2022:
SCRIPTURES
John 14: 26 (AMP)
But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.
Romans 15:13 (NIV)
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 5:3-5 (NLT)
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
REVIEW AND MEDITATION
Executing on God’s plan in the upcoming year at first glance seems daunting! But be encouraged beloved, the Holy Spirit is with us, he helps us and empowers us to execute on what God has planned for us to do! John 14:26 in the AMP version describes many of the different ways the Holy Spirit Ministers help to us! I love that because the type of help needed often varies and I want to call on what is needed by name as I partner with the Holy Spirit each day! Romans 15:13 tells us that The Holy Spirit empowers us to overflow with hope! Oh yes, we need an overflow of hope as we enter 2022 so we fill up with what we need, and can then pour out to others who need a lift! I appreciate Romans 5:3-5 because we know that along with the excitement of all the possibilities of a New Year, there are also inevitable difficulties replete with problems and trials that come with it! We are not naïve, Paul tells to rejoice in those hard times because in addition to the building up of our character, our hope is strengthened and our Hearts are filled with God’s Love! When we have hope we can keep going, when our hearts are filled with God’s Love, we can stay the course with confidence, courage and contentment! This week started with God’s love story for us before the foundation of the earth and ends this week with God’s love in us through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit! Let’s go ask and thank God for the Help and love we need given to us by the Holy Spirit!
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we honor you and bow to you in humble submission acknowledging you as the one and only true God! We love you Lord and thank you for the privilege of knowing you and the opportunity to come boldly to the throne of grace in prayer! Father we pray that your will be done and ask that you forgive our sins. Lord remove anything in us that is displeasing to you ! As we set out to execute the plan that you have given us for 2022, we first ask that you keep us humble and our hearts always submitted to you! Lord we ask for your protection and covering! Touch our bodies Lord and heal us in all the places where we need mending! Father we ask you for clarity, wisdom, energy, speed, favor and supernatural anointing! Lord we ask that you grow us to the next level in prayer, worship and fasting! Increase our God time in 2022, Father we want to be closer to you! Help us to stay disciplined, on course and leaned into your strength! Make us aware of when we are leaning on our own strength so we can repent and reset! Father we ask that you empower us with the Holy Spirit on today! Lord keep us ever reminded that your plans for us are bigger than us and require the Help of the Holy Spirit each day! Father we thank you for filling our hearts with Your Love through the Holy Spirit! Show us how best to share our love and light as we go out and represent Christ each and every day! In Jesus Name we Pray, Amen!
