Happy Friday! Sisters and brothers, today’s devotion ends our reading in 2 Thessalonians. Join me as we read chapter three verses 16 through 18.

Bible verse – 2 Thessalonians 3:16-18 NLT

“¹⁶ Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.

¹⁷ HERE IS MY GREETING IN MY OWN HANDWRITING—PAUL. I DO THIS IN ALL MY LETTERS TO PROVE THEY ARE FROM ME.

¹⁸ May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.”

Reflection

In our prior readings, it was implied that people were writing letters and falsely stating they were written by Apostle Paul. Apostle Paul was so disturbed by it, that he felt a need to note what the letter looked like in his own hand writing.

Apostle Paul wrote a lot of points and words of encouragement in his 2nd letter to the Thessalonians. In his closing, he focused on peace and grace.

Sisters and brothers, may that same peace and grace be with you today and throughout the weekend.

Prayer

Father God we thank you for the words Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonian believers/church. We thank you for opening our eyes to areas in our own lives where we need to grow and develop. We are grateful for the continued work that you are doing within us. Lord, please keep working on us. Lord, while you are working on us allow your peace to overflow in every detail and situation of our lives. Remind us of who You are – Alpha and Omega, Redeemer, Savior, Source of our salvation, Healer, Comforter, Way Maker, Prince of Peace, etc. Help us to trust who You say You are – “I Am“. Lord, You are enough. Thank you for your endless grace. Continue to transform your church to be the believers that you have called us to be. In Jesus name, amen.
