More than Enough

Written by Guest Contributor Dora Lozano

“The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” –  John 10:10 (NIV)

There was a time that I believed the lie that there is “never enough”.  My greatest lament was that I didn’t have enough money. One day I read John 10:10 and the words jumped off the page, I immediately changed the way I was thinking and I started saying in my mind and out loud, “I have more than enough”.  Those five words changed my life. I found at the end of the month, I still had money left over! I got great deals at the grocery store! Then random checks started to trickle in for things that I forgot about! The enemy was trying to steal my peace, kill my dreams and destroy my joy. All I had to do was believe the living, breathing word of God.

What part of your life do you believe is not “full”?  Your job, finances, family? Whatever it is, ask the Holy Spirit for words that you can speak over yourself or the situations that will bring to life the truth of the promise in John 10:10.

Lord, please remind us to trust in your promises.  Forgive us for when we think that we do not have enough. Speak louder than the enemy. Help us not to believe the enemies lies. We thank you, Jesus, for coming into the world to give us a full life.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
