Happy Thursday! I will praise the Lord as long as I live. Brothers and sisters, no matter what you are going through the Lord is with you.
“1 Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord.
2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath.
3 Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.
4 When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them.
5 But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.
6 He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.
7 He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners.
8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.
9 The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.
10 The Lord will reign forever. He will be your God, O Jerusalem, throughout the generations. Praise the Lord!” Psalm 146:1-10 NLT
Who on earth can love and care for us like the Lord.

Lord, you are our help and our hope.
Father God, thank you for all that you have done for us. Lord, the odds may be stacked against us, but Lord that is where we see you shine – thank you. Lord, our health may be failing, but Lord you never fail – thank you. Lord, you are gracious and merciful. Your ways are amazing and when we don’t understand your will, you still take us by the hand and walk us through each moment. Lord, you are our source and hope, calm our anxious thoughts and pour out your peace into our hearts. Lord, you know everything about us, nothing escapes you, Lord will you examine our hearts and reveal to us areas that you desire to change in us, and begin to change us to be more like you. Lord, we know you don’t need help, however Lord you allow us to come alongside you to care for the hungry, the orphans, the widows, the foreigners, the oppressed and prisoners. Lord, thank you for the opportunity to serve, thank you for the finances that you give and thank you for wisdom and discernment to change and challenge legal systems. Lord, you are our rock and refuge, you keep every promise, cover us today and open our eyes to see how You desire for us to make a difference in our homes, on our jobs, in the church, in our communities and throughout the world. In Jesus name, amen.
