He Will Rescue Us

Good morning! This is the day the Lord has made – rejoice and be glad, because He is with us. Remember, His presence is our shield.

17When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles.18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all.” (Psalm 34:17-19 NRSV)

Today, you may be facing a trial or a difficult season in your life. The Lord hears you, the Lord is near. The Lord will rescue you from not just one worry or problem, but from them “All“. Pour out your heart to the One who knows it the best and watch Him work.

Sisters and brothers, so far this month we have read about the many characteristics of the Lord. The Psalmist David wrote, the Lord is our stronghold, our protector, our shield, our redeemer and our shepherd.

Who is the Lord to you today? _______

Father God, we thank you for being so instrumental in our lives. Thank you for the kindness you have shown us. Lord, you are our strength and rescuer. Lord, rescue us from the burdens we are facing, deliver us from the enemies mind games and whisper your truth in our ears. Heal the brokenness in our hearts and change us to become more like you. Lord, your word in Isaiah 43:2 says,

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” (NIV)

Lord we trust you and believe your word. In Jesus name, Amen!

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
