Good morning! Praise God, the One who hears and comforts us.
“17 Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. 18 You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so mere people can no longer terrify them.” Psalm 10:17-18 NLT
Today, in the midst of difficult times at work or strained relationships with family (e.g., spouse, children, parents, etc.), overwhelming financial problems, feeling of depression or anxiety – know the Lord hears your cries. He has not abandoned you and he will be with you. You are his beloved.
While you prepare for the day, will you invite God to take control? Will you dig deep and ask him to give you enough faith to trust his word and lead you His way?
Lord, you know our most intimate thoughts and our greatest needs. You shelter us from harm, yet correct us with great love. Lord, you open your arms wide so that we may come to know you more. You are our hope. Lord, be with the orphans, widows and the oppressed. Lord, expose the wicked who have taken them captive or plotted harm against them. Lord, heal the wounds of your children and bring them to a place of safety where they can begin to heal. Lord, we want to please you. We desire to live for you and bring glory to your name. Lord, strengthen our faith and trust in you. Direct our steps, guide our thoughts, soften our hearts and open our eyes so that we may be a light in our workplace, home, church, school, neighborhood, etc. Lord, you know us – continue to transform us to be more like you. In Jesus name, amen!
Keep seeking God’s truth! Keep trusting God’s word! Keep praying!
