Good morning! May the love of the Lord penetrate our hearts and minds so that we may extend love to others.
“If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.” 1 John 4:20-21 NLT
We have fellow believers across the world. Some we have great adoration for and follow without hesitation. However, do you show love to your fellow believer at work, the one at church, or the one who is homeless on the street?
If you struggle in this area. Today, I challenge you to take a step back to see how you love your fellow believers. This may be difficult because we may feel betrayed or feel another believer should be or do something in a certain way. Whatever the circumstance, ask God to show you how to love your fellow believer and begin to pray for that/those believers. Also, pray for the Lord to work in you while he is working on them.
There won’t be gossip groups or cliques in heaven picking and choosing who they will be friends with. God willing we will be in heaven rejoicing with our fellow brothers and sisters. So lets allow the Lord to begin working in us today.
Lord, without your demonstration of love and your forgiveness of our sins we would be destined to a life without hope. But because of your love we can experience forgiveness, salvation and live with hope. Lord, your love for us changes our love for others. Lord, we know only your love will change us and soften our hearts. Change us Lord to be more like you. Lord, while we want to love others like you love, Lord, give us wisdom in the way we demonstrate that love. Lord, you know every need we have and we ask that you open our eyes to see you at work on our behalf. Lord, open our ears to hear from you. Lord, we want to be obedient to your word, guide us in every decision we make and let us experience your presence more each day. Lord, be with those who are suffering from an illness. Lord, we ask for their healing and comfort. In Jesus name, amen.
Keep God first! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
