Good morning! Yesterday we read God’s love lives in us.
“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John 4:18-19 NLT
When God’s love lives in us we are able to experience the fullness of his love for us. We don’t have to fear, because we know his perfect love cast out fear. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins so that we can be reconciled to God, raised from the dead – defeating death and seated in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 1:20), is proof that he loves us with an unconditional love and desires to be in relationship with us.
Let us continue to remember how much God loves us and love others.
Father God, because of your gracious love and compassion we do not need to fear. Thank you for loving us and teaching us your word. Lord, you are our hope and salvation continue reveal opportunities for us to love one another. Lord, guide us in prayer as we pray for those who are difficult to love. Lord, as you answer those prayers, continue to change us and our hearts. Help us to be more like you. Lord, we lift up our families, friends, co-workers and the nation. Lord, we ask that they will grown into a relationship with you. Lord, that you will change their hearts and minds to be aligned to your will and be more like you. Lord, make us bold and brave enough to follow you with our whole heart and live in obedience to your word. In Jesus name, amen!
Keep God first! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
