Good morning! I pray that the Lord will give you peace and strength for the day ahead. Enjoy today’s message.
“Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.” 1 John 3:4-6 NLT
Our God is faithful, just, gracious and willing to forgive us of our sins. He sent his son, who was without sin, who was blameless and unblemished, who was the perfect sacrifice, whose blood was shed on the cross, who took on the weight of our sins, then died on the cross, was buried, on the third day rose from the grave (defeating death), ascended and is alive seated on the right hand of the Father, so that when we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness, we may be forgiven and reconciled to God.
Will you choose today to ask for forgiveness and turn away from your sin? _______
If so, pray: Father God, I know that I am a sinner and I ask that you forgive me of my sins. I believe you died on the cross and rose from the grave for my sins. Lord, come into my heart and life and be my personal Savior. Lord, release me from the sins that have me bound, cleanse me and restore me back to you.
The Lord loves you more than you will ever know. He is the only one who can forgive our sins.
Father God, thank you for sending your son Jesus. Lord, you have been so gracious and patient with us. Lord, thank you for your love and mercy. Lord, while you sent Jesus as a once and for all sacrifice for our sins, Lord we still struggle with sin. Lord, we want to live a life that pleases you and we need you every day to be greater than the sin that desires to separate us from you. Lord, we need you, we cannot fight against the flesh without the presence of you in our lives. Lord, continue to teach us about your word. Lord, continue to lead us in every area of our lives. Lord, reveal to us the things that we do that offend you and began to work in us and remove those sins/things from our lives. Lord, continue to change us! In Jesus name, Amen.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
