Good morning! We are continuing our reading in Matthew chapter 13.

Bible Verse – Matthew 13:31-32 NLT

“³¹ Here is another illustration Jesus used: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. ³² It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.”

Reflection

While a mustard seed is small it can grow up to 12-15 feet in a single season. Just like our faith can grow, so will the Kingdom of Heaven expand and grow.

Allow the Lord to continue to cultivate and nurture you through His word, and by faith. Just as you will continue to grow in faith, so will the Kingdom of Heaven as more people turn to Christ and grow in faith.

Prayer

Father God, thank you for another day to serve and worship you. Thank you for sending your son Jesus to make known the secrets/mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. Lord, help us to understand your word clearly and apply to our lives. Lord, forgive us for the times when we ignored your word and/or the leading of your Holy Spirit. Lord, lead us and direct us as we grow in faith. Help us to lean on you and trust the process as you strengthen our faith and remind us of your faithfulness.

Lord, we pray for the woman whose husband passed away this past week. Lord, comfort her and her family. Lord, we pray for the woman whose mother passed away this past week. We pray for comfort and strength for her, her children and grandchildren. Lord, we know your word is true, and we trust you but loss is still so painful and difficult. Lord, comfort all those who are mourning today and help their heart not to ache too much. Lord, be their peace and help them to lean on you.

Lord, may our faith grow more today than days before. May we grow 12-15 times more in our faith this season as we turn to you and trust you in every area of our lives as we see your faithfulness throughout the world. Continue to heal our homes, our relationships, our youth, our churches, our neighbors, our state, our countries, and this world.

Great is Your Faithfulness, Lord! In Jesus name, amen.
