Praise Him

Good morning! It’s the first Friday of the year.

Yesterday, we read about Jesus being the perfect sacrifice. He made a way for us to have a future and an eternal home that is yet to come. Join me as we continue our reading in Hebrews chapter thirteen.

Bible Verse – Hebrews 13:15-16 NLT

“15 Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. 16 And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.”

Reflection

Thank God for Jesus. I am grateful that we are no longer required to offer blood sacrifices for forgiveness of sins. I am grateful that Jesus came to be the ultimate sacrifice that takes our sins away, when we repent and turn back to God. God has always wanted a relationship with us and now we can because of Jesus. Praise God! Let us continue to proclaim our allegiance to God.

According to Dictionary.com to pledge allegiance means: “a solemn promise or agreement to do or refrain from doing something.”

When we pledge allegiance to the Lord, it means we are standing with the Lord. Are you standing with the Lord today? ________

Give the Lord the praise he deserves. What are you praising the Lord for today? _________

Prayer

Lord God,  thank you for getting us through another week. Lord, thank you for your love toward us. We thank and praise you for sending your son Jesus to save us. Lord, forgive us for our sins (known and unknown). Help us to draw nearer to you. Help us not to be ungrateful or self-absorbed. Help us to follow you, trust you, and live our life for you.

Lord, continue to teach us your ways. Help us to care for those in need. Help us to recall your promises each day and stand firm on your word. Lord be with us. Cover our families and our homes. Help us to share your word with boldness, humility, and in love. In Jesus name, Amen.
