Good morning! Today is our final review of Hebrews chapter 12. As we read these verses we are called to listen and to have unshakable faith. May the Lord bless you and your reading.

Bible Verses – Hebrews 12:25-29 NLT.

“25 Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven! 26 When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.”[k] 27 This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.

28 Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. 29 For our God is a devouring fire.”

Reflection 

God’s words are the same yesterday and today. We are blessed with a Bible that reminds us of His promises and yet, he still speaks to us and guides us.

Remember the days when we would ask a parent, friend or child, “are you listening to me?” Or state, “did you hear what i said?” Maybe you have gone as far as saying, “don’t make me say it again” or don’t make me repeat myself.”

God is patient and merciful, but He is also judge. Listen and obey – Shama, His word.

Question to ponder: When was the last time you sat still to hear from God? _______________

Don’t forget to spend time with the God today. He wants to hear from you and I’m sure he has a word for you today – listen.

Prayer 

Lord God, your truth and existence is undeniable. Your love toward us remains full of grace and mercy. Lord, you speak to us in the good and bad times in our lives. You give us hope and light in the darkness. You bless us with discernment and wise counsel to help make decisions and pursue the plans you have for our lives. Lord, today open our ears to hear you. Give us peace as we trust you in areas of our lives that we have no control over and the areas we think we do. Help us hear…and be obedient to your word. Give us unshakable faith. In Jesus name, Amen!
