Good morning. May the Lord produce a good harvest through you. Enjoy today’s reading.

Bible Verse – Hebrews 6:7-8 NLT

“7 When the ground soaks up the falling rain and bears a good crop for the farmer, it has God’s blessing. 8 But if a field bears thorns and thistles, it is useless. The farmer will soon condemn that field and burn it.”

Reflection 

Soak up the word of God and let it nourish you. As it produces good character, faith, compassion, discernment and much more, allow his love to overflow in you so that it will be a blessing to others. Don’t allow the devil and his followers to distract you from God’s greater plan – because the devil will be happy to see us bear thorns and thistle – we must remember who we serve. Trust God’s plan; you are meant for greater things. 

Prayer

Father God, thank you for your goodness toward us. Thank you for sustaining us in the midst of joy and sorrow. You continue to show yourself faithful. Help us to be patient in our trials, trusting in the things you have called us to do and content in resting in your love. Lord, forgive us for the times we bore thorns and thistles. Lord, we allowed the devil to sneak onto our path and momentarily distract us. Lord, thank you for awakening us to see the plot and scheme. Help us to recognize these schemes sooner and allow Your Holy Spirit to pause us from any action that will dishonor You or turn others away from you. Lord, we repent and ask for your forgiveness. Lord, turn us away from the path that doesn’t lead to productivity in you. Help us to bear good crop for you. We love you and thank you for all you have done and continue to do. Lord, bless our study through Isaiah tonight and the weeks ahead. May the study strengthen us in your word and improve our character, and relationship with you. Lord, continue to heal those in need of healing. In Jesus name, Amen.
