PRAYER
Father God, we thank you for waking us up this morning. We thank you for letting us get through another weekend and for preparing us for this day. We thank you for answering our prayers and for sustaining us as we wait patiently for other prayers to be answered. Each day you show us new mercies, and Lord, we are so grateful for your grace and love toward us. You always come through on time. You make ways in the impossible and you stabilize the unpredictable.

Lord, continue your mighty work in us. As we seek to draw nearer to you, Lord, tear down our selfish tendencies and help us to serve your purpose for our lives today. Direct our attention, and don’t let our focus stray away from you or your word. Lord, we pray for each reader, and we ask that you help them through anything they may be facing or going through today or this week. Lord, our Savior and Shield go before us as we seek new job opportunities, as we experience the same routines, as we are challenged, and as we trust You and give you control this week. Lord, we want to see and feel your goodness in our homes, in the church, on our jobs, and in every area of our lives. Lord, we need You to strengthen us today. Equip us for everything we will encounter this week. Give us favor, wisdom and insight this week. Humble our heart, minds, and speech. May Your truth and mercy live in us, pour out of us, and be demonstrated in action by us inn the things we do and say.

Lord, help those who are struggling financially, emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually, and bring healing to each of those areas of their lives. Lord,  continue to keep your hand on and over all the children heading to school today. Lord, keep them safe. Protect us as we leave and return home.

Lord, we praise you for hearing each prayer that is prayed. They never fall on deaf ears – You hear us and answer. Great is your faithfulness. We leave our prayers and burdens in Your capable hands. In Jesus’ name, amen!
