“57Lord, you are mine!
I promise to obey your words!
58 With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised.
59 I pondered the direction of my life,
and I turned to follow your laws.
60 I will hurry, without delay,
to obey your commands.
61 Evil people try to drag me into sin,
but I am firmly anchored to your instructions.
62 I rise at midnight to thank you
for your just regulations.
63 I am a friend to anyone who fears you—
anyone who obeys your commandments.
64 O Lord, your unfailing love fills the earth; teach me your decrees.” Psalm 119:57-64
Prayer
Father God, we thank you. We are so grateful that you kept us through the night and that you have brought us through another morning. You have been gracious in all things and loving toward us when we were bitter, angry, or malicious in our tone and did not deserve your love or forgiveness, but you – Lord, in your mercy you forgave us and in your love – You, put us back on track with a repented heart willing to serve you.
Lord, today we pray for our hearts to be surrendered to you. Lord, we ask that you purify our hearts so that our words will flow from a healed heart. Lord, we want our words to be sweet and untainted, truthful and unharsh, bold and humble. Lord, continue to refine our hearts to be aligned to you. Lord, improve our character so that our weaknesses do not draw people away from you. Lord, we want to be a good witness and give you glory. Strengthen us to walk in Your truth. Lord, when wicked and hurt people come up against us, guide us and give us discernment on how to engage or walk away in prayer. Help us to recognize the tactics the enemy may use to make us stumble – keep us from falling, Lord.
Lord, equip us for the day ahead and answer our prayers that were spoken, written, cried, moaned, or silent. Lord, help us to see you at work in our lives and in the lives of others today. Keep changing and healing us, Lord. In Jesus name, amen
