39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers. 42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” John 4:39-42 (NIV)
Our lives are our testimony. It doesn’t matter what we say, people are looking at how we live.
We are witnesses for Christ in the way we respond to coworkers, when driving in traffic and in the restaurant with the service staff. Even in the way we react to life challenges, people are taking note of our retort. Through the way we live our lives, people should see Jesus in us and desire his salvation.
Ask the Lord to forgive you for the times when you have not been the best witness for Christ. Then ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify the areas that you need to grow in, accept his guidance and make the changes necessary in your life to be a better witness for Christ.
Prayer: Lord, we thank you that you will help us to be examples of the testimony of our faith. Thank you for the imperfections in our lives so that we can have the opportunity to share your goodness with those around us. Help us Lord to be ready to share your salvation with others to bring more people into our community of faith and belief in you. You are all our world needs. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
