Right Time

Happy Wednesday! Throughout our lifetime we will question at least once if it is the right time to do something or say something. Because we are uncertain of timing we tend to hold ourselves back from experiencing things out of fear, doubt, insecurity or anger. In general, we love to avoid things that make us uncomfortable. Then there are times when we are held back from experiencing things for legitimate reasons. In 2 Corinthians 5:21 we read: “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,[e] so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Today in 2 Corinthians 6, Paul shares his view on the right time.

“As God’s partners,[a] we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. For God says,

“At just the right time, I heard you.
On the day of salvation, I helped you.”[Isaiah 49:8]]

Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.” – 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 NLT

Sisters and brothers, those who believe have been made right with God through Christ Jesus. Everyone has been given the opportunity to believe and accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. Unfortunately, there are still so many people who do not know about God or the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Since we believe, we can’t simply ignore the free gift that God has given to us, while letting others sit back and perish. Today, sisters and brothers is the “right time” to share the Good News with others. Will you?

Father God, thank you for today. Thank you for another opportunity to experience your grace and mercy on our lives. Thank you for saving us from the pit of hell and for sending your son Jesus to reconcile us back to you. Father, you are so good to us. Forgive us for hiding you and your word underneath a lampshade. Forgive us for doubting the power of the gospel message (Good News), that can save anyone. Lord, open our eyes to see as you see, to love the lost, care the least and stand with the last. Lord, make us bold servants for you. In Jesus name, amen!
