Happy Friday! May the Lord bless and keep you today and throughout the three-day weekend. Enjoy today’s devotion.
“1 Praise the Lord, who is my rock.
He trains my hands for war
and gives my fingers skill for battle.
2 He is my loving ally and my fortress,
my tower of safety, my rescuer.
He is my shield, and I take refuge in him.
He makes the nations submit to me.
3 O Lord, what are human beings that you should notice them, mere mortals that you should think about them?
4 For they are like a breath of air;
their days are like a passing shadow.” Psalm 144:1-4 NLT
The Lord is our:
- Loving Ally
- Tower of Safety
The Lord loves us and thinks about us. He gives us exactly what we need and he strengthens us for our today and the days ahead. We can depend on him.
Father God, thank you for your protection. Lord, thank you for being our strength and teacher. Lord, thank you for noticing and thinking about us. Lord, no one compares to you. Lord, we are mere humans but you came to save us. Lord, thank you for the gift of salvation. Thank you for saving us from living a life that leads to death and for giving us life in you. Lord, forgive us for any sins or offenses that we may have committed against you. Lord, teach us to seek and care for the least, last and the lost. Give us the words to speak and a heart fully surrendered to you. Lord, protect our homes and our families. Lord, cover the service men who are serving in the military and care for the families who have lost their loved ones while serving. Lord, you are the great comforter and peace giver, be with those who are grieving and struggling to get through each day. Lord, be with those who are seeking employment or lacking finances and provide opportunities for employment and financial security. Lord, give us hope and wisdom as we seek to serve and follow you. Continue to work in us and change us to be more like you. In Jesus name, amen.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
