Happy Wednesday! The Lord knows you and his presence is always with you. Our Lord, the maker of heaven and earth made you and designed you for a unique purpose. Enjoy reading today’s devotion.
“13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalm 139:13-16 NLT
Today, when I read these verses. I thought about meals that I make without a recipe. I add a dash of flavor here and there, I add some herbs, bright color vegetables and sometimes a touch of garlic or Herdez salsa for extra seasoning. Of course, I can never create/duplicate the meal because I never measure the items and each time I make it, while it may taste good it never taste exactly the same.
The same is with the Lord, while he makes and forms us in the womb he made each one of us uniquely different. Some of us are bold or reserved, some with a round face and others with a long face. Some of us are tall, medium built with curly hair and others are average height, thin built with straight hair. The one thing we have in common is that we were fearfully and wonderfully made by the creator of the entire universe. God made us with a unique purpose in mind. He has given us gifts and talents designed to be used for his glory.
Will you allow the One who made you and knows you intimately, use you for his purposes? _____
Father God, thank you for creating us. Thank you for loving us in a way that we will never fully comprehend. Lord, we thank you for your careful hand that designed us and uses us for your glory. Lord, in your eyes we a beautifully crafted. Lord, teach us to love ourselves as you love us. Lord, whenever there is doubt about who we are remind us of the details about how you made us. Lord, open our eyes to see what you created us to be and do, so that we may serve you with our whole heart and life. Lord, continue to work in us and change us to be more like you. In Jesus name, amen.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
