The Reasons Why

Good morning! The Lord never ceases to amaze me. Even when it is difficult to rejoice and be glad, he shows us reasons why we can.

“22 The stone that the builders rejected
    has now become the cornerstone.
23 This is the Lords doing,
and it is wonderful to see.
24 This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Please, Lord, please save us.
Please, Lord, please give us success.
26 Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord.
We bless you from the house of the Lord.
27 The Lord is God, shining upon us.
Take the sacrifice and bind it with cords on the altar.
28 You are my God, and I will praise you!
You are my God, and I will exalt you!

29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 118:22-29 NLT

The verses that stood out to me this morning are:

  • The Lord is God. v. 27
  • Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good. v. 29

What verse or verses stood out to you and why? __________

Lord God, you are worthy of all praise. Thank you for waking us up this morning. Thank you for this day you have made. Lord, we ask for you to forgive us of our sins (known and unknown) and ask that you strengthen us to turn away from those sins and so that we will not commit them anymore. Lord, as you work in us, help us to remain focused on who you are – the Lord God. Help us to be a light in the darkness. Lord, save us from the enemies tactics and give us success in the battles ahead. Lord, we desire to praise you in the morning and evening, worship and exalt you in the midst of uncontrollable circumstance because we know you will deliver us and give us success. So Lord, continue your work in us. Keep purging out the things that hinder our relationship with you. Touch our hearts and minds so that we will be obedient to your will. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
