Good morning! The Lord is faithful in all his ways. Spend time with him and ask him to open your eyes so that you can see and experience his faithful love toward you.
“1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 2 Let all Israel repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” 3 Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” 4 Let all who fear the Lord repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” 5 In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free. 6 The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? 7 Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me. 8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people. 9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.” Psalm 118:1-9 NLT
As I read this psalm, I meditated on the words “endures forever” and asked myself what does endures means. So I looked it up in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary and it read:
- to continue in the same state
- to remain firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding
- to undergo especially without giving in
- to regard with acceptance or tolerance
Our Lord and Savior’s faithful love toward us endures forever. He loves us so much. He loves you!
Lord God, thank you for your enduring love toward us. Lord, when we don’t deserve it, you love us anyway. Lord, you are so forgiving and caring, so gracious and merciful no one loves like you love. Thank you for being faithful to us and forgive us, even when we are not always being faithful to you. Lord, as you continue to work in our hearts and change our character/behaviors, Lord grant us wisdom to understand your will for our lives. Lord, give us discernment as we reach out to you for direction and guidance. Lord continue to set us free from the things that hold us as prisoners of fear – remove that spirit and give a sound mind. Keep changing us. In Jesus name, amen.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
