Good morning! In leadership one of the greatest challenges in the workforce is creating a culture of trust. There are many reasons for distrust in any environment, but what I’ve learned over the years, is that my ability to trust (in a healthy way) begins with me and my relationship with the Lord.
“1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness. 2 Why let the nations say, “Where is their God?” 3 Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes. 4 Their idols are merely things of silver and gold, shaped by human hands. 5 They have mouths but cannot speak, and eyes but cannot see. 6 They have ears but cannot hear, and noses but cannot smell. 7 They have hands but cannot feel, and feet but cannot walk, and throats but cannot make a sound. 8 And those who make idols are just like them, as are all who trust in them. 9 O Israel, trust the Lord! He is your helper and your shield. 10 O priests, descendants of Aaron, trust the Lord! He is your helper and your shield. 11 All you who fear the Lord, trust theLord! He is your helper and your shield.
12 The Lord remembers us and will bless us. He will bless the people of Israel and bless the priests, the descendants of Aaron. 13 He will bless those who fear the Lord, both great and lowly. 14 May the Lord richly bless both you and your children. 15 May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 115:1-15 NLT
Brothers and sisters, trust the Lord in every situation. Seek his wise counsel and he will lead you on the right path. Trust his authority over situations, so that when the evil one tries to attack and destroy with sly motives you will already know the God you serve is trustworthy and will weed out the wicked in time. Trust the Lord, no other idol can stand against him. The Lord is your help and your shield.
What do you need to trust the Lord with today? _________
I challenge you to keep praying for that thing or things today and throughout the weekend. Send me a message if you want me to be in prayer with you about that particular thing or things.
Father God, thank you for the spirit of discernment and your faithful love toward us. Lord, thank you for revealing to us that you are trustworthy. Lord, no one can compare to you. Lord, forgive us when we trust other idols before we trust you. Lord, help us to reprioritize and/or remove anything that hinders our relationship with you. Lord, you know our needs, you know where we need your help. Lord, we also pray for the women’s retreat this weekend. Lord, we pray hearts are changed, people are receptive to your word, that chains will be broken, that the sick will be healed, and that captives will be set free. Lord, continue to work in us and change us. Father, we give you all the praise and glory. In Jesus name, amen!
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
