Be Still

Good morning! Yesterday’s reading was from Isaiah 40:25-26, but now I am back to the Psalms.

10 Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” 11 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress.” Psalm 46:10-11 NLT

Sometimes we forget God is in control of all things. That nothing and no one compares to our God. He invites us to come to him with everything.

Be still and know that I am God

What are you fearing? ________

What is keeping you up at night? _________

Be still before the Lord. Sit still, pray about those things, listen – invite the Lord to speak to you and be obedient to his word.

Father God,  you are our refuge and strength. You are our peace in the midst of a storm. You are great in all the earth. Father, you are greater than anything that stands against us. Father, you created the world. You created us and knew us before we were born. Father, you know us and our deepest pain. Father, you know our concerns and even our fears. Father, help us to be still and put all those things in your capable hands. Father God, may we bring honor to you as we tell others about your unfailing love and care for us. Father, as we go through this day strengthen our faith. Teach us your ways and may your heavenly army surround us and keep us safe. Help us to trust you in every area of our lives. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
