Sing Praises to God

Happy Monday! Last week, I challenged you to ponder over God’s faithfulness in your life. Here we read about a time when the Psalmist David recalled a similar time.

11 You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, 12 that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!” Psalm 30:11-12 NLT

While Psalmist David was the anointed king and he ruled for many years, he did not escape pain, moments of fear, death, tragedy, or betrayal. However, the one thing that remained consistent in his life was his love, trust and devotion to Lord.

May the Lord refresh and restore your soul. May your faith and trust in the Lord grow more each day. May his praises be on your lips today.

Father God, thank you for your endless love for me. Lord, thank you for allowing us to see you in the midst of pain, worry, death and fear. Lord, while all those things are difficult weights to carry, you never leave us to carry them on our own and we thank you for that. Lord, wherever a person is sitting in darkness, bring them light and healing. Lord, be with your children who are in need of restoration. Lord, give them peace and comfort their soul. Lord, watch over us as we go through this day and remind us of your perfect will and plan for our lives. Lord, direct us in the way we should go. Change us. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep seeking God’s truth! Keep trusting God’s word! Keep praying!
