Who is the King of Glory?

Happy Friday! The Lord is our banner. The Lord is our stronghold! The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.(Psalm 24:1)” The Lord is our light and our salvation.

Open up, ancient gates!
    Open up, ancient doors,
and let the King of glory enter.
Who is the King of glory?
    The Lord, strong and mighty;
    the Lord, invincible in battle.
Open up, ancient gates!
    Open up, ancient doors,
and let the King of glory enter.
10 Who is the King of glory?
    The Lord of Heaven’s Armies—
he is the King of glory. ” Psalm 24:7-10 (NLT)

Are you tired of the ancient battles raging in your heart and toiling in your mind? ______

What ancient doors or things keep pieces of your heart from fully experiencing the Lord? ________

What is it that keeps peace from your heart? _________

My challenge to you: today and throughout the weekend begin to pray about those things. Because, the Lord offers peace in the midst of chaos, strength in the times of storms and restoration for our souls.

If you are ready to experience the indescribable freedom that only the Lord can provide, declare like the Psalmist wrote, “Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.” While the battle against the flesh and the lies the enemy tries to tell us may be paralyzing – know this one thing for sure (because it says it in His word), “The Lord is strong and mighty; the Lord is invincible in battle.” Let the King of glory enter into your deepest and darkest space, and allow him to set you free from the ancient things in your past.

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies – the One who commands also fights for us.💜

Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before you asking for you to enter our hearts and shine your glory wherever darkness lurks. Lord, you are all powerful and all knowing, and we need you more each day. However, today Lord, we come asking that you enter the doors and gates of our hearts, mind and spirit – Lord, take over the battlefield in those places so that we may be healed. Lord, we are tired of holding onto things in our past, we are tired of holding grudges, we are tired of being bitter, we are tired of being jealous and judgmental, we are tired of justifying the lies we believe (the ones we tell or are told to us), we are tired of restlessness, etc. Lord, you know everything detail about us. King of glory enter, have your way – free us. In Jesus name, amen!

Keep seeking God’s truth! Keep trusting God’s word! Keep praying!
