Good morning! Look around. Don’t miss it. You may not hear it. Can you see it?
“1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. 2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. 3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. 4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.” (Psalm 19:1-4a NLT)
The glory of God is all around you. However, if you slip into automatic mode “auto-mode”, you might miss it. If you aren’t careful or if you are too busy getting from point “a” to “b” to “c” you may miss how God perfectly painted the skyscape today. His craftsmanship cannot be replicated.
Over the next two or three days the world will witness and talk about a blue moon. But ny questions are: Who on earth can create a blue moon and suspend it in the sky for all the world to see? Who can make the whole world wonder with just the touch of His hand – and say today the moon will be blue? My answer: no one but God.
Are you missing the presence of God in your life? Do you miss God being near? Do you simply want to see or feel his presence? Then stop and look around – his glory is on display all around you. Take sometime this week to simply stop and look at His glory – it speaks without words, “their voice is never heard”, “yet their message has gone throughout the world.” His glory! His glory!
Father God, we thank you for your mighty work. We thank you for showing us your glory. No one can compare to you. Your mighty hand is always at work. Your power is displayed for all the world to see. There is no one in heaven or on earth like you God. Lord, be with us today and show us your glory. Stop us in mid-walk or gaze so that we don’t miss an opportunity to see your glory. Allow us to experience the indescribable, which only comes from you. Open our eyes and hearts to be amazed/overwhelmed by your mighty work. Lord, we also ask that you touch the sick, heal their bodies and restore them to be better than before. Lord, be with those on hospice, comfort and ease their pain. Strengthen the family members of those who are experiencing loss. Lord, for those without sight to see your glory around them, let them feel your presence without it ceasing. Lord, be with your children today and let us draw closer to you. Feel us with your Holy presence, grant us favor and my we be pleasing in your sight. Lord, as the world shakes around us or underneath our feet – don’t let us be moved. Hold us with your perfect care and give us endless peace as we seek your face. In Jesus name, amen.
Keep seeking God’s truth! Keep trusting God’s word! Keep praying!
