The Shield Around Us

Happy Wednesday! Today is another day that we can trust the Lord and surrender our day to him.

“O Lord, I have so many enemies; so many are against me. So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head highI cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain.” Psalm 3:1-4 NLT.

No matter what you are facing, the Lord is your shield. Cry out to the Lord, and share with him your fears, concerns and/or struggles. If you surrender those things to the Lord, he will guide and cover you as you put your faith and trust in him.

So, brothers and sisters, lift your head up high and stand in the strength of the Lord.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for all the things that you do for us. Thank you for your provision and loving care for us. Lord, we are grateful that we can cry out to you in our time of need, fear, lack of courage, despair, etc., and know that you will deliver us. There is no one greater than you Lord. Lord, continue to teach us your ways and be are peace. Lord, heal those who are ill, comfort those in pain, touch the finances of those who are struggling to make ends meet. Lord, guide our thoughts and motives, so that they align with yours. Lead and change us, Lord. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep God first! Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
