Good Morning! We continue our reading in 1 John, chapter 1 verses 3-7.
“We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:3-7 NLT
Each day that we take a step closer to the Lord is a day we move further into the light of God.
Have you noticed a change in your life since you began to follow Jesus? ______
Maybe you are spending more time in your Bible, or attending a Bible study, or stopped cursing or gossiping (at least not as much as you use too)? _______
Have your friends or family members noticed a change in you? ______
Most importantly are you spending time with the Lord? _____
The real change begins with accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Brother and sister, if you are still struggling with your walk with Jesus, consider praying for the Lord to help you. When we fully surrender our lives to Christ Jesus it is difficult to walk in the light and not be changed by God.
Father God, we thank you for an opportunity to fellowship with you. Lord, we thank you for desiring to have a relationship with us. Lord, we ask that you forgive us of our sins and open our hearts and minds to receive all that you have for us. Lord, equip us with your word and change us so that we may desire you above all things. Lord, we want to live in the light. Help us to live in the light and be a light to others. Lord, be with our family and friends. Open theirs eyes so that they may see and hear you. Heal the sick and the broken-hearted. Lord, be with us today – help us to feel your presence. In Jesus name, Amen!
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
