Happy Friday! “So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.” Hebrews 12:12-13 NLT
Sometimes we find ourselves tired and wonder if what we do makes a difference. We ask ourselves, “is it really worth what we are facing today?” Let me encourage you and say, yes, it is.
There are days when it is difficult to get these messages out, particularly on the day my family buried my mom or today as my family is making preparation to bury my niece, but I know the Lord has called me to encourage and strengthen other believers even in my time of weakness. And praise God, other believers have come alongside me to strengthen me. For the Lord knows what each of us need and sometimes he uses us as a vessel to help others in need.
If you are willing to follow Christ there will always be something we must overcome or endure, but understand there is no greater reward than being faithful to the One who has and will continue to be faithful to us. So take a good grip of faith or as my brother would say, “suck it up” and start/continue to press through your weaknesses in the strength of the Lord. The Lord is our strength, our guide, our refuge, our peace, our comfort, and way-maker.
While it may be difficult – the waves will come, but they will not consume you. Stand on what you believe.
Father God, we know there is a lot going on in the world, from earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, fires, corruption, poverty and much more. We ask that you be with our country and other nations that are affected by those things. Comfort the families who have experienced loss and devastation. Show us how we can help our brothers and sisters in need. Help those who are reading this message in the areas of their lives that are difficult and uncertain. Lord, we know you are in control and trust you with our lives, however Lord, continue to strength us. Mark out a clear path for us and help us to live in obedience to your word and direction. In Jesus name, Amen!
Have a wonderful day.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
