The Shelter of the Most High

Good morning! We will spend the remainder of the week on Psalm 91. Many people refer to this Psalm as the 911 prayer.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the LordHe alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.
For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.
He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Psalm 91:1-4 NLT

Day and night the enemy tries to destroy our sense of safety and security, but the word of God tells us the truth – He is our God and we can trust in him.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find:

  • Rest
  • Refuge
  • Safety
  • Rescue
  • Protection
  • Covering
  • Shelter
  • Love

Where else would you rather be, than to live in the shelter of the Most High? ______

Father God, thank you for your promises. Lord, you continue to reveal to us your mighty works and your love is displayed for all of us to see. No one loves and cares for us like you do. Lord, forgive us for not walking in complete obedience to you.

Lord, we ask that you remind us daily of your shelter and strength. Lord, when we forget where to turn to first, reminds us to turn to You – our shelter, a place of refuge and place of safety. Lord, be with us as we go through good and bad days. Lord, heal broken hearts, restore brokenness, rebuild broken families and marriages. As you do your mighty work Lord, place us safely under the cover of your wing. Lord, continue to perform miracles – heal minds, restore sight, cure those suffering with pain, cancer and Lord heal our hearts and restore our balance when life simply doesn’t go as we plan. However, Lord help us to remain focused on you because you know our beginning, end and all that is in between. Give us strength to mount up like eagles, courage to move forward and strengthen us for the journey until the day we see you again. In Jesus name, amen!

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
