“44 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.”
REFLECTION
Finding out about the Kingdom of Heaven is one of the greatest treasures we can discover. In our excitement and in our obedience we surrender our lives…everything to have the greatest treasure. The treasure of salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who offers forgiveness of our sins so that we can be reconciled to the Father. We can’t buy our salvation or forgiveness of sins, but praise God, the Lord freely gives it to all who believe and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
God has made a way for us to be with Him for eternity. Today is the perfect day to say Lord, when I die I want to make sure I spend eternity with you. There isn’t a greater treasure or hope that the world can offer or provide.
The Bible says, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Romans 10:9-10 NLT

“Father God, thank you for your testimony. Thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to save us. Lord, we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is your son, and that he died on the cross so that we may be forgiven and have eternal life. Father God, we believe Jesus rose from the dead and we ask you to come into our lives to be our Lord and Savior. Father God, we repent of our sins and because your word is true we confess that we are born again believers and cleansed by the blood of Jesus.” Amen.

PRAYER
Father God thank you for choosing us. Lord, you could have left us hopeless and in despair, but you didn’t and we thank you for that. Thank you for the hope we have in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Thank you for forgiveness of sins. Lord, you are good. Lord, be with us – pour out your Holy Spirit into our hearts and let it overflow in our speech and actions. Lord, equip us with all we need so that we will be fully pleasing to you. Lord, no matter what today brings, we still chose you. Lord, help us to stand firm in our faith and trust your will for our lives. Lord, even when we don’t understand what you are doing, help us to trust your outcome. Lord, help us to see you in the midst. Help us to keep our eyes focused on you and your promises.
Lord, we pray for those who are ill and are in need of your healing and we ask that you heal them. Lord, touch the woman who is in the hospital and bring forth healing in her body. Assign the right medical team to her case and give them the discernment and wisdom to seek you for guidance, and give them clarity in their decisions and an obedient heart to follow your lead as they treat her. Lord, we pray for those who do not know you and we ask that you change their hearts and draw them closer to you. Lord, direct our steps today and always. Cover our homes, our marriages, our children and their children, those who are single, and those who are widowed or divorced and heal any brokenness that has them bound. Lord, guide us to live a life that pleases you and brings glory to your name.
