Remain Faithful

Good morning! When God has a different plan ours, He is still faithful to His promises. We must remain faithful too.

Bible Verse – Hebrews 10:32-39 NLT

“32 Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ.[j] Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering. 33 Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things. 34 You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever.

35 So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! 36 Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

37 “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.

38 And my righteous ones will live by faith.[k] But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”[l]

39 But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.”

Reflection

Sisters and brothers, what an encouraging word for today. Yes, if we recall that day when we gave our lives to Christ and how we put our lives and trust in Him, we can remain encouraged as we continue to trust Him in the days ahead and with our future.

  • Patient endurance is what we need.
  • Continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised.
  • Better things are waiting that will last.
  • We are the beautiful ones whose souls will be saved.

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for another beautiful day. A day where hope abides in us because of who You are. Lord, thank you for the reminder that we are not defeated, it’s the devil and his followers who have and will be defeated. Lord, even when the odds seem like they are against us, we can trust that you will make a way for us and you will prevail in every way. Lord, we don’t know what 2025 will bring, but we know we need you now and then. We need you to show up like never before. Calm our hearts and minds. Lead our nation. Lead our leaders and their advisors. Lord, change their hearts and help them to lead the nation as you would have them lead – with compassion, integrity, wisdom, and with everyone’s wellbeing in mind.

Lord, direct our steps today. Lead us and our families. Guide us in the decision and direction we must take. Protect us from the plots and schemes of the devil and his followers. Send Heavens Army to fight for us and protect us. Send them to protect our children, our marriages, our families, our homes, and our lives. Lord, may we continue to live a life that pleases you. Continue to heal the sick. Keep opening opportunities for those seeking employment and job changes. Be with those who are traveling.

Lord, we know you are up to something good. Help us to be faithful in prayer as we trust your plan and continue to move in Your purpose for our lives – for such a time as this. In Jesus name, amen.
