Good morning! The one thing that we know about God is that He cannot be deceived. He knows everything and despite our concerns or doubts, He is working out every detail with us in mind. Enjoy today’s reading.

Bible Verse: Hebrews 10:26-31 NLT 

“26 Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. 27 There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. 28 For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us. 30 For we know the one who said,

“I will take revenge.
    I will pay them back.”[h]

He also said,

“The Lord will judge his own people.”[i]

31 It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

Reflection 

Sisters and brothers, let us not become comfortable with the world and the influences that may harden our hearts toward God. Let us hold firm to what we profess to believe and be the salt and light in the earth. God will always have the final word. God will always be God.

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for rescuing us from shame and sin. Father thank you for sending your son Jesus to save us. Lord, you have been good to us. Lord, there is no doubt in my mind that you know what we need and know our thoughts today. Lord, make us whole and renew our hope in you. Lord, we will trust you and your will. Lord, give us peace of mind today. Cover and protect us from the devil‘s schemes and plots. Lord, we pray for our nation and we ask for healing in our land and in our hearts. Lord, cease the things that try to divide us. Lord, help us all to work toward the best solution for our country and nation. Lord, we pray for the Middle East and Ukraine, and we ask that you end the wars. Lord, continue to protect the innocent people around the world.

Lord, you know each of our prayers and our hearts. Help us to continue to pray and strengthen our faith as you workout all the details of our prayers. In Jesus name, amen.
