Our Rescuer

Good morning! Today we will conclude our reading in Hebrews chapter four.

Bible Verse – Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT

“14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

Prayer

Father God, you are gracious and merciful. Lord, in our sin you could have destroyed us, but you chose to love us instead. You have made a way for us to turn away from temptation and to help us with all of our weaknesses. Lord, today we ask for forgiveness of our sins and for a renewed relationship with you. Lord, we ask for your strength to live a life that is pleasing to you and that will bring you glory. Lord, equip us with your word so that when we are discouraged or tempted we can recall all your teachings, your promise, reflect on reminders, and remember the hope we have in you. Lord, life is not easy, but we are so grateful to have you.

Lord, we ask for you to work in marriages, parent & child relationships, family relationships, and in households. Help us all to stay firm in you. In Jesus name, amen.
