Don’t Be Deceived

Good morning! God is still on the throne and He loves us. Let’s continue our reading in Hebrews chapter three.

Bible Verse – Hebrews 3:12-15 NLT

“12 Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. 13 You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. 14 For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. 15 Remember what it says:

“Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”(Psalm 95:7-11)”

Reflection

Sisters and brothers do you remember the first time you believed and received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Do you recall when you decided to follow Him with a committed heart? Has anything changed since then? Sisters and brothers, let us continue in our walk with Christ and remain faithful until the end, “trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed.”

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for today. Lord, we thank you for waking us up this morning and for giving us a fresh start. God, we thank you for the new mercies that you will bless us with as we leave our homes and go to different places. Lord, continue to humble our hearts and keep it from evil and don’t let it turn away from You. Lord, we believe in you – don’t ever let that change.

Father, we ask that you cover us and protect us as we go to and from our homes today, and to our destinations. Lord, we ask that you soften our hearts today. Lord, work in and through us and so that we will be changed, and for others to see you working in and through us. Lord, we pray over our spouses who are leaving for work or staying home or retired. Lord, continue to work in their hearts and align their thoughts, actions, and decisions with you. Father God, you know the needs of our homes and our households and we ask Lord for you to improve communication in marriages and in raising children. Father God, increase love and compassion for one another. Lord, we pray for protection of our children, Lord as they leave our homes, and as they go off to classes today, Lord, we ask that you keep them safe. Lord, we pray for each person who is reading this today. Lord, guide them and give them the wisdom that they need to follow you in all the ways of their life. Lord, keep working in us. Attune our ears to hear you and follow in obedience. In Jesus name, amen.
