Good morning! Today we will begin reading Hebrews chapter 3.
Bible Verse – Hebrews 3:1-6 NLT
“1 And so, dear brothers and sisters who belong to God and are partners with those called to heaven, think carefully about this Jesus whom we declare to be God’s messenger and High Priest. 2 For he was faithful to God, who appointed him, just as Moses served faithfully when he was entrusted with God’s entire house.
3 But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a house deserves more praise than the house itself. 4 For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.
5 Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. 6 But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.”
Reflection
God built everything. Christ as the Son of God, is in charge of God’s entire house. Sisters and brothers, we are God’s house, may we always “keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.”
Prayer
Father God, thank you for blessing us with another morning. Lord, you have brought us through 267 days of this leap year, and including today there are only 99 days left in the year. Lord, first of all thank you for allowing us to be present on this earth. Secondly, we want to extend ourselves to you, to use us as you see fit for the remaining 99 days. Lord, we don’t want to waste another day or miss the ability to participate in the things that you are doing in this world and in the lives that you are changing. We want to be used by you and we will give you all the glory and praise. Lord, direct our steps today. Open opportunities for those who are still seeking employment and new options. Lord, give them favor in their interviews and equip them with skills, knowledge and experience that they need to do the job well. Lord, wherever there is lack, we trust that you will sufficiently provide.
Lord, there is a lot going on in this world. Lord, destroy the plots of the enemy, continue to heal our world and our families, and remove evil from this world. Lord, help us to lean on you and see you at work. Provide for those/us who need mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial support and healing. Continue to work in us and let others see you in us as we go throughout our day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
