The Perfect Leader

Good morning! Today we will continue reading Hebrews chapter 2.

Bible verse – Hebrews 2:5-10 NLT

“5 And furthermore, it is not angels who will control the future world we are talking about. 6 For in one place the Scriptures say,

“What are mere mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him?

7 Yet for a little while you made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.

8 You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says “all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority. 9 What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. 10 God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.”

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for new mercies and for salvation. We thank you for always caring for us. Lord, forgive us for any sins we have committed (known and unknown). Lord, we know that you are the only perfect person and leader, we thank you for loving us while you are perfecting and transforming us to be more like you. Lord, as we continue to grow in your likeness – help us to love people like you love people. Help us to establish healthy boundaries and relationships that will please you. Lord, continue to heal families and reconcile them with your love. Lord, give hope and heal those who have been rejected, abused, or orphaned. Father God, you are the perfect parent that we can always turn to and we thank you for that. Lord, as you heal and reconcile relationships don’t let us forget that You are our perfect Father and that you will never abandon, reject or create a false narrative toward us. Thank you for allowing us salvation and eternal life with you. Thank for being reliable and for loving us with unconditional love. Lord, continue your work in us as we mature in faith and in the word.

Lord, be with us as we go through this day. Lord, you know what each person is facing and you know their needs. Lord, our perfect provider, help us with our needs. Lord, our perfect healer, heal our minds, hearts, and body, and fill us with your peace and joy. Lord, our perfect comforter, comfort those who are anxious and remove their anxiety. Comfort those who are grieving and missing their loved one – touch their hearts and ease the grief and sorrow that they are feeling. Lord, bless those who are going through interviews for jobs with good jobs, good leadership, and a healthy work environment. Continue to open up opportunities for those who have been seeking and praying for something new.

Lord, we ask all these things in the name of Jesus, amen!
