Good morning! The Lord is faithful and He will remain forever.

Bible Verse – Hebrews 1:10-14 NLT

“10 He also says to the Son,

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands.

11 They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing.

12 You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same; you will live forever.”

13 And God never said to any of the angels, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”

14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.”

Reflection 

When everything seems to be less than ideal, we are reminded in scripture that the Lord is with us and He even sends His angels “to care for people who will inherit salvation.”

In the scriptures we were never instructed to worship angels, but we have read about angels being instructed by God to care for, guide, encourage, and deliver messages to many faithful followers like Abraham, Zechariah, Daniel, Hagar, Mary, and Philip. There is no limit to who or how God selects to use angels or people for His will/purpose. God still has a plan for you too. However, never forget angels are not equal to or greater than God’s son Jesus.

Prayer

Open up doors and remove barriers that keep us from following through with your plans for us. Lord, show yourself faithful in all the things we may encounter this week. Bless our families and continue to restore our trust and faith in you. Lord, you know each prayer request and need of those who are reading this today. Lord, hear and answer their prayers.

Lord, we lift up our sisters and brothers in the faith and ask that you continue to heal and restore our hearts and our lives. Lord, we desire to grow closer to you and in the knowledge of your word. Help us to be like you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
