The Lord keeps you from all harm
    and watches over your life.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” Psalm 121:7-8 NLT

Father God, we thank you for blessing us with another day. Lord, we pray for those who are already up and about their morning, and we ask that you keep them safe and protect them from injury and harm. For those preparing for this day, we ask that you keep them safe and in your loving care. Lord, you know each need we have today before we pray or say a single word.  We ask for your peace and wise counsel today. Lord, we ask that you bind the enemy from his attempts to reign havoc in our minds, our hearts, our families, our health, our finances, and most of all, our relationship with you. Lord, renew our minds today. Help us to focus on what is good and lovely. Remove the negative thoughts from our minds and keep our eyes focused on you. Lord, we pray over those who want to manipulate situations and start rumors – help them to turn away from those destructive patterns. Lord, change our hearts and heal our hurts, open our thoughts to be receptive to your love, and give us a burning desire to follow you as you transform our character, behavior, and our lives. Lord, wherever there is a void in our lives, let it be filled with and by you – and you alone.

Lord, we pray for all the college students who are staying in dorms and off-campus housing, and we pray for those who selected the military. Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection over them. Lord, as many will miss their families and as families will miss them, Lord we ask that you comfort their hearts during their time apart. Lord, help them to connect with godly upright men and women who seek you. Lord, don’t let them be deceived by schemes and plots that will cause them harm or harm to others. Lord, help them to sleep well. Remove anxiety from their minds and help them to feel your presence near as they begin this new school term or season in the military. Lord, we pray for the kids who are starting school this week and those who have started this month. Lord, protect the children in their classrooms, on the school campuses, and in childcare. Lord, give them the emotional and educational support that they need to have a safe and successful school year. Lord, we pray for you to keep them safe from predators, drugs, bullies, abuse and any thing else that may cause them harm.
Lord, we pray for each teacher, give them a humble heart, a stable mind, and a servant attitude to help these children and young adults do well. Whatever, those employees may be going through in their personal lives we ask that you help them through each situation and help them to see your hand guiding them. Help them to get the rest and energy they need each day.

Lord, we pray for each person going to work or to other places today, and we ask for safe travels from home, to their destination(s), and back. Lord, guide them and give them patience. Give them wisdom and hope as they face expected and unexpected situations. Lord, we pray for stability in their thoughts, on their jobs, and for their healing. Lord, we pray for things to work in their favor with job interviews and opportunities. We pray for favor in their work, with their colleagues, their bosses and staff, their relationships, and their finances. Lord, you know every need – from their work environment, to budget cuts, to the layoffs, to workplace trauma, to feelings of being passed over for opportunities, to finances, to bitterness, and feelings of being alone. Lord, may today be the turning point. May it be the day that we see you move mightily in our favor. Lord, engage or re-engage us in the work you have called us to. Align our purpose and use us as you see fit today, this week, and throughout this year. Lord, we look to You. Lord, we also thank you for answered prayers – where you have blessed others with advancements in their careers and for new work environments.

Lord, we pray for those who are seeking jobs – provider, please provide and help them with their financial needs. Lord, we pray for those who are recovering from surgery, those who are in the hospital, those over coming or being challenged by major health issues – we ask for your continued healing and for full recovery.

Lord, we pray for the widow, children, grandchildren, and parents who are grieving this season. Lord, comfort each one of them as they miss and wish their loved one was here to share in the school activities, weddings, sports, etc. Lord, be with them and hold them. They need you. We need you.

Lord, continue to transform us as only your grace can. Keep healing us and help us to turn away from things that do not bring you glory. May all that we do today and throughout the week point others to you – Our Savior and Lord, Our everlasting father, and Redeemer. In Jesus name, amen.
