Good morning!
“27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” – John 14:27 NLT
Prayer
Lord, thank you for the peace that you give. Thank you for always stepping in and for pouring out your peace on us. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who reminds us to calm down, to breathe, to look at things with a godly perspective. Thank you for teaching us to extend grace and forgiveness as you extend it to us. Lord, thank you for allowing that process to be a constant area of growth for us, and also for your never changing character that is patient with us as we grow in your grace.
Lord, we pray for safe travels for all the people who are traveling today and throughout the weekend. Lord, we pray for respiratory illnesses to clear up and for other illnesses to subside as you heal each person who is not well today. Lord, we lift up the little girl with a liver condition, and we ask for healing and the proper treatment. Lord, we pray for her parents and ask that you comfort them and give them discernment and finances to get the care their daughter needs. Lord, we want to thank you for those who have successfully made it through chemotherapy and for remission of cancer. Lord, continue to heal those who are battling cancer. We also pray for aging parents and their caregivers. Lord, strengthen them, give them peace that surpasses all understanding and heal them.
Lord, be with families as they gather this week. Lord, keep them safe, bless their time together, may they have a healthy time, renew relationships, and bring your peace. Lord, continue to be with kids and families as they prepare to head off to college and back to school. Lord, cover them. Be with them as the meet new roommates as they walk into new classrooms and as they separate from their loved ones again or for the first time. Help them to make good and healthy decisions.
Lord, bless each reader who is reading this prayer. You know their needs. You know what is on their heart and the prayers that have been on their minds. Lord, speak to them. Lord, guide them and direct their steps. Help them with physical, spiritual, mental, financial, and emotional needs. Continue to heal those who are grieving. Lord, let Your peace and presence rest on us today and throughout the weekend. May Your truth and word be forever on our minds.
In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen!
