Good morning! We are going to spend the rest of the month in prayer. I hope you can join us each weekday morning.
Prayer
Father God, we thank you for your love and mercy. We thank you for your grace and your peace. Lord, you are always with us, and in your presence there is fullness of joy. Lord, thank you for never abandoning us and for keeping us anchored to you. Lord, when the wind and rain came, it was you who kept us, sheltered us, and helped us through each storm. Lord, you have been faithful in our heartache and in times of joy. Situations and circumstances may disappoint us, but you, Lord, you never have. You are true to your word and your promises even when it leads to death and grief. Lord, thank you for the hope that is found only in you and your word.
Lord, as we rest in who you are and knowing that there is nothing that is impossible for you, we desire to lay all of our burdens down at your feet. Lord, we lay our illnesses, our marriages, our singleness, our families, our jobs, our relationships, our communities, our well-being, our financial situation, our leaders, our nation, and this world to you. Lord, you know how to transform us into your likeness. Lord, help us to approach each situation we face with you in our minds and hearts. Lead us today and always.
Lord, fill us with your peace today. Go before us and give us favor in our environments (e.g., work, school, doctor’s office, travel, etc.). Lord, continue to help communities impacted by storms, hurricanes, and heat. Lord, help those who are displaced and help them with the resources that they need to rebuild and stay cool. Lord, relieve pain from those who are in pain. Lord, help those in domestic violence or abusive situations to escape and get the help and support that they need.
Lord, no matter what, help us to keep our eyes focused on you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
