April Prayer #4

Good morning! The Bible book of Jeremiah often reminds me of God’s faithfulness even when His people were not. Throughout the book of Jeremiah was rebellion, forgiveness and love. Throughout the gospels we read about a Savior named Jesus who came to save us and restore us back to God. Today, we start our prayer with the word’s the Lord spoke to Jeremiah.

Bible Verse – Jeremiah 33:2-3 NLT

” “This is what the Lord says—the Lord who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”

Prayer

Dear God. Thank you for blessing us with a Savior. Thank you for sending Jesus to save us from our rebellion and inability to be perfect enough to keep from sinning. Thank you for the perfect sacrifice that was without blemish who came for us, so that we could have eternal life.

Thank you for sharing the remarkable secrets of things to come. Thank you for making a way for us to be forgiven, restored and reconciled back to you. Lead us today as we seek you and your direction for our lives today. Lord, you have blessed with spiritual gifts, we ask that you open opportunities for us to use those gifts to bring you glory. Lord, we pray for those who have occupations in the church and who volunteer. We ask that you provide employment to the bi-vocational pastors and bless them with the finances they need to sustain their families and endurance to continue their work for you in the church.

Lord, we pray for the countries who have decided to engage in war activities. Lord, we pray for the release of captives, for protection for the weak and vulnerable in their communities, and we ask for these conflicts to end. Lord, we pray for the protestors. Lord, you know what each side is concerned about, Lord, hear them and bring justice and a solution to the unrest.

Lord, we pray for our country and leaders. Lord, equip them and guide them to make decisions that align with your will. Continue to guide them on how to relieve our own country of financial struggles and lay offs that have or are occurring. Lord, be at the center of budget evaluations and the impact it will have on employees. Lord, we pray for unhoused epidemic that is occurring around the nation. Lord, give us a solution to that issue.

Lord, help us to walk in ways that please you.

Lord, help us to be an example of you in this world. Lord, help us to have compassion where compassion is needed. Open our eyes to see things as you see them, and to love as you have called us to love. Continue your mighty work in us. Transform our thinking and our hearts daily. Lord, transform marriages. Renew the hope and love couples once shared. Lord, may there be honor, love, respect, forgiveness, understanding and care poured out in every marriage today. Lord, heal brokenhearts, broken homes, and make them better than new. In Jesus name, amen.
