Prayer Focus: You Are Valuable

“Are five sparrows not sold for two assaria? And yet not one of them has gone unnoticed in the sight of God. But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7 NASB)

Dear God
Thank you for your unconditional love. Thank you for seeing us as we are and for what we will become. Thank you for watching over us throughout the night. Thank you for the things you have brought us through and for the confident faith that you will be with us always no matter what.

Lord, we need you today. Lord, as we go about this day, we ask that you help us to be people of integrity, good character, and truth. Lord, help us to refrain from lies and deception. Help us to pour out your love from our hearts and freely share it with others.  Lord, remove fear from our hearts and replace it with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lead us in our speech, actions, and emotions. Let us rest in knowing that vengeance is yours. Let whatever we do or say give you glory.

Lord, heal those who are going through cancer treatments. Give them strength and keep them from developing infections or other illnesses. Lord, give them hope and faith to endure and overcome their battle with cancer.

Lord, we pray for prisoners and ask that you set the innocent free. We ask for the truth to be exposed and for captives to become believers in you. We pray for all the individuals conducting prison ministry. Lord, keep their cause and work focused on what you have called them to do. We pray for reform and improved conditions. Lord, we pray for victims of crimes and their family members and we ask that you heal their hearts and help them through the trauma that they have lived with.

Lord, continue to watch over our households and for children who are preparing for school. Lord, keep them safe from harm. Cover them from the time they lift their head this morning until they lay it down tonight. Help them to have a successful and safe school year.

Lord, we trust that you will supply our every need. Keep us connected to you today.  Lord, continue to change and transform us daily. Lord, press your word and promises on our hearts and tongues today. Help others to see you in us. Lord, lighten our burdens. Open up doors and give us favor in the things we need and want to accomplish this week. Go before us, stand beside us, help us to feel and recognize your presence in our lives.
