Good morning! Today, we will continue our Draw Closer series of daily prayers.  

Dear God.
We just want to say thank you. Had it not been for you and your amazing grace our lives would have been different. Lord, thank you for covering and protecting us each day. Lord, thank you for allowing us to walk through fires, seeing you in the fire with us, and not letting us get burnt. Lord, thank you for your peace that overflows and the joy that you give.

Lord, your word says:

• you are faithful to your promises
• God will meet all our needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus
• you are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to your power that is at work within us
• with man things are impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Lord, you are the God of possible. Lord, there are things man said can’t be done, but Lord, oh Lord, you made the lame walk, the deaf hear, the mute speak, the homeless housed, the barren with child, the outcast loved, the sick well, and so much more.

Lord we surrender our impossible to you today. Lord, in your hands we see wholeness and healing, we see comfort in our mourning, we see empty bank accounts but our bills paid, we see misunderstanding turn to understanding,  we see unemployment turn to employment and entrepreneurs. Lord you turned bad working conditions around to promotions and good leadership. No budgets to an abundance of assets.

Lord, have your way in our lives. Lord, do what is possible in our lives, in our homes, in our schools, on the job, in legislation, in our communities, and around the world.

Lord, there are angry people around the world. Continue to protect the innocent from harm. Cover us and help us to shine our light in the darkness. Keep our hearts and minds aligned to yours. Lord, when things don’t turn out the way we want, give us understanding and peace while we continue to trust in your timing and your will for us. In Jesus name, amen.
