Happy Tuesday! Some people say, there are no dumb questions. I actually believe some of the best questions and reponse are recorded in the gospels – Jesus always had a question but He also had a response. Yesterday, there was a man who had a question and the response that he received changed his life forever. The final verse we read was “30 Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Join us as we continue reading Acts chapter sixteen.
Bible Verse
“31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” 32 And they shared the word of the Lord with him and with all who lived in his household. 33 Even at that hour of the night, the jailer cared for them and washed their wounds. Then he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized. 34 He brought them into his house and set a meal before them, and he and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God.” – Acts 16:31-34 NLT
Reflection
Sisters and brothers, don’t miss an opportunity to share the gospel message with others. Be prepared to share the Good News with anyone you meet.
1 Peter 3:14-16 states:
“14 But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way.[a] Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.“
Sisters and brothers, keep believing, keeping trust, and keeping living for Christ. Have a wonderful day.
Prayer
Father God thank you for your son Jesus Christ. Lord God, thank you for sending Him to save us and become the Lord and Savior of our lives. There is no one greater. Lord, forgive us of our sins (known and unknown) and lead us. Lord Jesus, with a repented heart we believe You are the son of God, the Messiah and the savior of the world. Lord Jesus we desire to serve you for the rest of our lives. Holy Spirit lead us and guide us today. Give us the words to say and may our hearts be filled with truth and enough salt to point others to You. Lord, we want to be an example of You everyday, shine Your light in and through us. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
